Warranty Policy

North Wave Global Parts wants customers to have confidence in the parts they purchase. This Warranty Policy explains how warranty coverage is generally handled for eligible products. Because warranty terms can differ by part, supplier, manufacturer, condition, and application, the warranty stated on the order, invoice, product documentation, or manufacturer's warranty will control where it provides different coverage.

1. Warranty Coverage

Eligible products may be covered against defects in material or workmanship for the warranty period stated at the time of sale. Some products may carry a manufacturer's warranty, while others may have supplier-specific coverage. The applicable warranty period should be confirmed before installation when warranty duration is important to the purchase decision.

2. Who Is Covered

Warranty coverage generally applies to the original purchaser and is not automatically transferable unless the applicable manufacturer or supplier expressly allows transfer. Proof of purchase may be required to establish eligibility and the beginning of the warranty period.

3. Warranty Claim Requirements

To evaluate a warranty claim, we may request the order number, vehicle information, part number, installation date, mileage, diagnostic information, photographs, technician notes, repair documentation, or other reasonable evidence of the alleged defect.

4. Installation Requirements

Parts must be installed correctly and used for their intended application. Where appropriate, installation should be performed by a qualified automotive technician. Failure to follow manufacturer installation procedures, required fluid or maintenance specifications, torque specifications, programming procedures, or related replacement requirements may affect warranty eligibility.

5. What the Warranty May Cover

When a covered defect is confirmed, the remedy may include repair, replacement, replacement with an equivalent part, or a refund/credit, depending on the applicable warranty and the circumstances of the claim. The specific remedy is determined after review of the claim and, where necessary, inspection of the part.

6. What the Warranty Does Not Cover

Unless expressly covered by the applicable warranty, warranty coverage does not generally include damage caused by improper installation, misuse, abuse, neglect, accident, overheating, contamination, modification, unauthorized repair, incorrect vehicle application, racing or competition use, continued operation after a known failure, or normal wear and tear.

7. Labor and Related Expenses

Unless the applicable written warranty expressly states otherwise, warranty coverage is limited to the eligible product and does not automatically include labor, diagnostic charges, towing, rental vehicles, lost time, lost income, installation or removal costs, fluids, programming, shop supplies, or other incidental expenses.

8. Used and Remanufactured Parts

Used, rebuilt, and remanufactured parts may have different warranty conditions from new parts. Coverage may depend on the condition of the part, installation requirements, maintenance requirements, and the specific warranty supplied with the product.

9. Warranty Claim Process

Contact us before returning a part for warranty evaluation. We will provide instructions if a return, inspection, testing, or additional documentation is required. Do not ship a warranty return without authorization or instructions, as an unauthorized shipment may be delayed or rejected.

10. Inspection and Determination

A returned part may be inspected or tested before a warranty remedy is approved. If inspection determines that the part is not defective or the issue is outside warranty coverage, the claim may be denied. Additional return or shipping arrangements may apply in such cases.

11. Manufacturer Warranty

When a product is covered directly by a manufacturer's warranty, the manufacturer may control the claim requirements, inspection process, and available remedy. North Wave Global Parts may assist with the claim where applicable, but cannot expand or alter a manufacturer's warranty.

12. Warranty Duration

Warranty periods vary by product. The warranty period applicable to your purchase will be the period communicated for that specific product or stated in the applicable manufacturer's or supplier's warranty documentation.
